The FAQ's Page These are some of the questions I get asked the most. Feel free to email more and I will add the answers in here. 1. What is the point of this site? I have been collecting recipes for years and I found that I was having trouble keeping a track of the latest version so I started experimenting with blogging software but found the limitations of design and printing a bit hard, plus I have other plans for the future that the traditional blogging model wont allow. My big problem was making sure I had the latest version of a recipe and keeping them all in a place that I could access from anywhere. See the question, whats in store for the future for further developments. 2. What are you selling? At this point, nothing. I am not against the idea I just have not persued any leads. I would be more than happy to stock goods and sell them and if you are interested in striking a deal, see the section whats in store for the future because there might be something useful in there. 3. How come something work and other things dont? This is a work in pogress and while im reasonably clued up, sometimes I accidentally tinker in a non-positive fashion and might not realise so if you come across something that is busted, let me know and I will try to fix it. 4. Whats in store for the future? Glad you asked. Currently I am tinkering with an add-on to facilitate the access of the site on PDA's and then it will be from cellphones with a WAP server. Why go for this development path? Well, how many times have to been at the supermarket and thought, did I get everything? You would be able to pull out your WAP phone, access the site and have the ingredients list pop up and the recipe emailed to your address book. See a need, fill a need. And this is a need of mine. The big plan for the future is to put in place a video server and have my own cooking show. Believe it or not but there is a huge amount of work required to pull this off so I have another server that is used to test ideas. Then there comes sourcing the equipment and appliances, then building a set, lighting, shooting, editing, post-production, graphics, theme song and then submisison. But its sounds like a lot of fun. 5. Do you accept submissions? Dead right. Send 'em in.
